The teachings of ‘The Alchemist’ (by Paulo Coelho)

The Alchemist – an inspiring, easy to read book! It’s about listening to the heart and following the ‘destiny road’, which is not always sweet and soft. However, it is important how we choose to live and look at it. We have the possibility to go back from where it all started or keep going towards achieving the dream.

‘It’s a force that appears to be negative, but actually shows you how to realize your destiny. It prepares your spirit and your will, because there is one great truth on this planet: whoever you are and whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it’s because that desire originated in the soul of the Universe. It’s your mission on earth.’ (The Alchemist)

We have to find the motivation to go forward and the power is within us.

‘When each day is the same as the next, it’s because people fail to recognize the good things that happen in their lives every day that the sun rises.’ (The Alchemist)

The idea is to never stop dreaming. Our dreams lead us to some well-deserved destinations, if we keep working hard and build the ‘house of our desires’, brick by brick, every day. However, as the book says: ‘You must always know what it is that you want’. And if this is unclear, we must follow our intuition and the Universe will show us what we should try, learn or achieve.

All we have to do is listen to our heart.
